SLIME!
A Musici Ireland production in development: SLIME! is a family theatre show that explores climate change and the environment in a fun, engaging and occasionally gross way.
ABOUT
SLIME! follows Hector, who has been the sole employee of the local city dump for seventeen years. Isolated from society Hector has built a magical world of his own amongst the discarded junk in the dump. One day, two students are sent on work experience to the dump and subsequently turn Hector’s life of peace and rubbish upside-down. By introducing Hector to the possibilities of recycling and up-cycling the students hatch a plan to revamp the dump. Little do they know, evil dump owner Big Bad is lurking around every corner ready to pour slime all over their schemes. Will Hector manage to turn trash into treasure without getting slimed in the process?
With singing, dancing and a whole lot of slime, this is a fun family show for all ages.
In 2024 SLIME! was in development at the Belltable/Lime Tree Theatres in Limerick as part of our Artists Residency. The project was begun at Backstage Theatre, Longford, thanks to an Activate bursary. We are currently seeking further support to produce this work in 2025 and beyond
